Wearing: dress by August Street, Sukajan jacket from Thai Markets, River Island boots and Tiger Necklace by Illuminati Jewellery and Rayban Clubmasters. Photos by Darren Luk.

The black dress. It's every girl's best friend in the wardrobe. I don't think there's anything that can make you feel sexy, confident and classy at the same time. This shoe-string number is from the Spring 14 'Form & Fleur' collection by August Street and I am loving every single detail of it. From the double spaghetti straps, sheer panelling on the back and modest length, this LBD has it all going. Plus to wear it sans bra is by far liberating! I wore this look to Day 4 of MBFWA teamed up with my trusty Sukajan jacket which I'm sure you've seen here on the blog before. The contrast of the shiny satin and embroidered details adds some edge to this otherwise classic dress. This cute tiger necklace from Illuminati Jewellery's latest range adds a playful element, and matches all too perfectly with the Sukjan jacket. If there's any animal I would wear it would be any feline creature. Cat, lion, tiger, leopard... the list goes on. Recently I've found out my Chinese zodiac is the dragon and I couldn't help but notice this Sukajan features both in it's embroidery. Ha! This outfit was meant to be.

On a different note, my annual leave is kicking on well and I've finally got to do a few things I wouldn't normally be able to do during the working week. Yesterday I caught up with a good friend over brunch, treated myself to some retail therapy and ran the Bondi-to-Bronte coastal walk which was beyond beautiful as a rainbow appeared amongst the cloudy skies. Later this week I will be hitting Melbourne for a long weekend break, so if you have any recommendations of where to eat, drink, shop that would be amazing! Got a lot to do today, be sure to keep up on the gram!

I'll leave you with this track by Tom Misch. Can you believe he is only 18 years old? Crazy!

Photography and edit by me.

One of my favourite shows of the week would have to be Michael Lo Sordo's SS14/15 collection. With angular abstract structures positioned on the runway it set the tone for an impactful showcase. A double breasted pinstripe shirt dress opened the show, belted at the waist with a plunging neckline and crotch-high split. Hair was combed back into a quiff, though blow-dried to create more of a 'bed hair' finish. Lo Sordo's range of gelati, pastel ensembles were beautifully tailored though styled in a relaxed approach, where jacket sleeves were pushed up to the elbow, tied around the waist, belted or loosely sitting on the model's shoulders. Triangle bralettes introduced a dose of femininity, either in matching hues or shiny patent leathers. Shiny, snakeprint pieces were also featured offering a contrast against the pinstripe numbers. All in all, this collection by Michael Lo Sordo was a mix of masucline meets feminine and in my opinion, it conjured up an image of a woman whom climbed out of bed, wrapped herself in bed sheets, went to a few casual meetings then treated herself to cocktail in the hotel lounge.

Wearing: Adidas Originals x Topshop Football tee, Neon Hart leather zip skirt by General Pants, boots by River Island and Ray-Ban Clubmasters. Photos by Darren Luk.

Continuing on with the sporty vibes, I decided to mix old and new favourites for Day 3 of MBFWA. This football tee is all kinds of cool. Featuring a retro cut, v-neck design and love heart print, it definitely is a throw-on statement piece. To toughen up the look, I've teamed it up with this Neon Hart one zip wonder and my trusty peep-toe booties. I've also swapped my usual pink lippy for an orange colour. Note to self: wear orange lipstick more!

Day 3 I finally felt like I was settling in, catching up with blogger pals and just getting amongst it. A big thank you to Lavazza coffee and they were serving free coffee the entire week and that's what I drink daily! I also got to see the Michael Lo Sordo show which was amazing. More on that in my next post!

Below with my blogger pal Fabliha of Inside In, Inside Out. Loving her all-white ensemble!

Wearing: Fedora by Witchery, gingham vest by InLoveWithFashion, skirt by General Pants, top by August street and Adidas Originals x Topshop Tech Super sneakers. Photos by Darren Luk

I've always been a creature of comfort and from my experience from last year's MBFWA I'd thought I start off the week by ditching the heels and opting for my new kicks. These Tech Supers are the latest model by Adidas Originals in collaboration with Topshop. I've been trawling the internets for new footwear and this pair ticks all the right boxes for me! Great colour way, highlight accents and a fun "Hello Kitty" vibe print to top it off. Here I've let the sneakers do all the talking by keeping my outfit to monochrome prints. Add a fedora and you're good to go! You'll see me repeating this look that's for sure!

I've just raced home to edit photos and am now going to race back for an event tonight! This time it isn't fashion-related! For in between updates, catch me on the gram!
