Wearing: Olivera Monochrome Checked Knit by Missguided, Seed Heritage trousers, Silent Woods Fedora by Lack Of Color, Karl Lagerfeld Watch and Peeptoe Shoes Monroe Patent Heels. Photos by Kassandra Hernandez.

Finally, a long awaited outfit post! I'm really loving this cropped, fuzzy checked knit by Missguided - it's super comfy and an easy throw-on statement piece. Here I've mixed in some old favourites like these silk trousers and my good ol' patent heels for a smart casual look! I hardly wear heels nowadays, but these babies have stood the test of time and have become a wardrobe staple that I can rely on. I will definitely be repeating this ensemble again and teaming it up with a leather skirt when the weather gets warmer.

On a different note, I'd like to thank you for your feedback on my last editorial shoot! This is certainly something I want to regulate on Your Only Black Swan. In return, here's a track to start of your week, good vibes all round!

Since my very first editorial earlier this year, I've been eager to keep the creative juices flowing and plan my next shoot. This time round I've teamed up with my good friend Joseph Harper to create a visual story both through stills and motion. Who doesn't love an accompanying video?! Inspired by the nostalgia of 80s retro fashion and graphic motocross wear, this combination of sexy and cute comes to life thanks to the amazing beauty, Kristina. With her come-hither gaze, infectious smile and out-of-this-world brows, Kristina exudes that old school American girl charm! I personally think she looks like a young ethnic Jennifer Connelly. Set on a rooftop on a winter's day, we jumped over railings, climbed platforms and took in the beautiful sunset as the day neared to a close. I couldn't of asked for a better result!

Be sure to check out Kristina totally babin' in Joseph's video below!

In the last 6 months or so, I have been involved in a special collaboration with Aussie label, Evil Twin. This project has been in the works for quite some time and I am more than pleased to finally share it with you all. As part of Evil Twin's AW14 collection titled 'Under Construction' I was invited to design a placement graphic focusing on the word 'Brutal'. For those who are familiar with the brand, Evil Twin is known for their take on the darker side of street style, fusing hard edges with feminine silhouettes to create the ultimate goth-grunge designs. Evil Twin designer Jodie McKenzie provided me with references of the aesthetic she envisaged for the collection; large, bold type that could possibly be applied to a sweater/knit. After sketching with pen and paper and experimenting with type in Illustrator, I came up with this integrated lock-up of the word 'brutal'. My intention was to present the word 'brutal' as an ambiguous graphic print. Featuring distressed, warped typography and use of negative/positive space, the graphic can be applied to any fabric with the use of only one colour. I presented two colour ways, black/white and red/white. Evil Twin opted for the black/white version with the design knitted into the sweater. The end-product can be seen below! I'm so happy with the result!

The graphic was only used as a yardage print! How exciting!

I would like to give a big thank you to Jodie and the team at Evil Twin for having me on board. It was definitely a rewarding experience to work my hand in fashion graphic art and I look forward to doing something similar in the future! Would love to know your thoughts, or if you have any feedback please feel free to share in the comment section!

Much love!

Wearing: Somedays Lovin Derailed Knit Jumper Dress, Silent Wood Fedora by Lack Of Color, Some Secret Place Bag by Status Anxiety and Chelsea Boots by Rubi Shoes. Photos by Kassandra Hernandez.

I've always appreciated a good cowl-neck knit. Some people prefer the standard turtleneck, though I've always had a soft spot for it since the 90s. I blame the retail store Hound Dog! (Ha, does anyone remember that store?!) Dressing for winter in Sydney has been somewhat a challenge, as by 11:30am most days, it is perfectly okay to thaw out in a t-shirt and jeans. Today Mother Nature was super kind and I was able to bare some skin in this cut-out jumper dress by Somedays Lovin'. I am loving the combo of the peek-a-book neckline and deep navy colour. Teamed up with this forest green fedora by Lack of Color, you've got a great winter/autumn day-look! I've recently returned from my second trip to Melbourne this year, where I splurged a bit on some new leathers - this bag included! I've always had my eye on Status Anxiety handbags and this style 'Some Secret Place" is their best seller. I can totally see why! :)

To wrap up your week, here's a track I default to when I want to unwind and soak it all in.
I hope you enjoy!
