To give or withold??

Quote of the day:

"I feel very strongly that we make decisions about what we’re giving to the world, what we’re withholding from the world, by virtue of what we put on our bodies and what we choose to say or not to say."
— Meryl Streep

Quotes like this are definitely food for the soul. To allow yourself the opportunity to stop and examine who you are and how you came to be at this point of your life, is important and sometimes confronting when you do face the real reasons behind each move and decision you have made to date. Do we say or do things according to others, or do we do things solely for ourselves? ........ After reading this again, I than realised it has a strong relevance to what I and other bloggers come across when we make a post. Are we 'constructing' an image that we'd like the online world to see? And do how much info do we really share or withhold...?
Since this platform is only just a bunch of photos and words, are we communicating our true identities of whom we are when we are away from our computer screens?
To be honest, I do this for me and I believe I have done so up until now. I may hesitate at times, though eventually I overcome it because at the end of the day its only my smile that counts. So be yourself, everyone else is already taken.
