Blown Away!

Sydney's weather is officially ALL OVER THE PLACE! One day it's sunny, the next day raining, the following day cold and as for yesterday, you'd think a cyclone was about to lash out any second!

Being Saturday, it was time to visit the good ol' Glebe Markets (which I LOVE!) Mother Nature graced the day with sunshine, but the strong winds sent up a chill right up your spine and literally throughout your entire body! I was seriously contemplating about purchasing some cheap gloves to stop my hands from shaking. Lucky the old giant trees in Victoria Park managed to block out the wind while my friend Czarina took these outfit snaps before we hit the market stalls.

Thank God I wore a scarf, which was a last minute throw-on! So soft and fluffy, it helped contain my body warmth and the dusty pink colour certainly softens this rather edgy look quite nicely.... agree??

Below is a close-up shot of my necklace which I made more than a year ago and has been sitting in my accessories box for quite sometime. I always forget about this little creation of mine, so it was nice to sport it and give it some much-needed fresh air! Hehe! - hence the pun!?

Wearing: tee dress (tightrope $10!!!), studded cropped jacket (ancient from The Urban Store), scarf (sister's), boots (Sportsgirl), canvas bag (Parklife merch) and necklace (Made by me)

^ Please HYPE ABOVE if you like! ^

Photographed my necklace again when I got home. The late afternoon light was perfect in aiding the dramatic shadows brought on by the details of the necklace. So how did I make it you may ask? Well during one of my creative streaks, I decided to deconstruct an old necklace, got my hands on some black suede and leather thonging, plaited it all together, and the final touch! - an old brass heart and rose pendant I got from Mum's jewellery box.

I hope you guys like it??!!!.... no? yes?... thoughts?!

Getting back on track, I scored some UNBELIEVABLE goodies at the markets and neighbouring op-shops which I will share with you next! Let's just say they involve the words "maxi skirts, china porcelain print, crystal cluster and two-in-1" :D

All coming soon!

  4. The necklace is fantastic! You did a great job on it and should wear it more.

I'm glad you also think Sydney weather is going crazy! We were freezing yesterday, expected it to be the same today, stepped outside and were boiling.

What op-shops are there in Glebe? It's only 5 mins away so it's not like so far out of the way, I just never get around to going.
