It's really starting to look like summer. The weather is scorching, skin is sweating and my single flat sheet is all what covers me in bed at night. I love it when the weather is like this. I prefer the heat - sweat over shivers any day. This usually means minimal and little clothing, or for comfort's sake, "light weight, breathable" options like my new "drawstring" skirt! Isn't it fabulous or what?! At first I was a bit hesitant to try it on thinking I'll look like a navy potato sack, but the linen-like fabric and multiple drawstrings won me over! Very "androgynous gyspy" don't you think?
Being summer, this calls for the floppy hat! This straw wide brimmed baby is of my mum's - beachy and summery in every way. I'm glad this style of hat is in fashion as it provides a great amount of shade. Offering style and protection, neither is compromised against this Aussie summer. The floppy hat also means the addition of big hoop earrings. I don't care about the love/hate relationship some people may have with them, I think they're sexy! Note to self: wear them more!
Wearing: peasant style button-up (Supre), drawstring skirt (store near Central Station), platforms (Aldo), floppy hat (Mum's), cuffs (Sportsgirl) and assorted accessories.
I hope everyone had a pleasant weekend and cooled off some way or the other. I was able to swing by Maroubra being my first visit to the beach all summer! Hooray! The water was so refreshing and I nearly dosed off whilst sunbaking hehe. Oh how I want to be back at the beach already!!!
