My First 550D Shots

My Canon 550D arrived the day after I ordered it online! Now that's what you call service! Being both overly excited and nervous I might break it, I finally made the time to properly sit down and put this baby together. Lucky for me Andrew was there during the early moments when I was fumbling around with the manual and learning how to attach the lens making sure the red dots were matching. Having taken his 450D to many live gigs and concerts in the past (see his photo blog here) I was lucky to have someone explain things like shutter speed and aperture. (thank god, cause I seriously wouldn't have a clue)

So here are some of the first few shots that I've taken so far!

Me and my new 550D! It goes ka-chek, ka-chek!!

My camera-loving Chelsea.

My attempt of a "macro shot" of this disgustingly cool spider outside.

Clothes line and sunset. Pretty pleased with this one I've got to admit! :)

Bargain reads I picked up during my latest thrifting adventure.

Victoria's Secret Official Angel Robe my sister bought from the states during her USA trip..... You can say I'm obsessed with Victoria's Secret. One of the things I collect are "Do Not Disturb" door signs.

I still have a lot to learn and master working the camera in it's Full HD Video mode in time for my Thailand trip which is literally ONE MONTH AWAY!! Yes!! ONLY ONE MORE MONTH! For those who follow me on Twitter - you'll know that I've recently bought a travel bag called the Metrosafe 200 that has special anti-theft and security features. I was more than convinced after watching the video which you can view here. Speaking of countdowns! ONLY ONE MORE WEEK TILL USHER O.M.G. CONCERT!! How amazing is that? Sometimes I wish I could fast forward time.

PS. I've recently joined the Misfits fanclub and is hooked BIG TIME! Who else watches the show? It is incredibly addictive. Move over Gossip Girl!

  17. Love the clothesline and spider pics!

P.S. Saving Zoe is a good book- read it a few years ago and one of the rare books that made me cry. This was before Alyson Noel branched out into the paranormal genre.
