Lucky for me, each year my birthday lands on the week of the June long weekend. This year my friends and I had a big day and night out on the town in Sydney. First stop, we headed to Bondi Beach. It's quite amazing how a change in your environment can alter your mood for the day. Being by the beach, it was a great opportunity to clear your mind, reflect on the past year and reassess your goals and dreams for the next. With Sydney's extremely cold and unfriendly weather, I made sure I rugged up and layered like crazy. (Don't get me wrong, I'm wearing at least 3 more additional layers under what you see here!) My new black and cream knit I picked up the other day was perfect in keeping me warm, and I can't help but to applaud the strong winds for emphasizing the tassels and way it drapes almost like a poncho or cape.
One of my favourite vintage items that I've been frequently wearing is this wonderful blouse from Ezzentric Topz Vintage The sharp collar and black trims add instant class to any outfit. Being winter, you can't go wrong with a quality pair of tights. These leather paneled ones are from Dotti and I love how they also look like horse riding pants as well - gotta love a 2-in-1! My Rayban Clubmasters helped continue on with the black and gold details and yes, my ethic bag I bought in Thailand is still glued to my arm!
The day continued on with a delightful lunch at one of the nearby restaurants and afterward we checked into the BLUE Sydney Hotel in Woolloomooloo. If you haven't seen or heard of this iconic and eye-catching hotel down by the pier, well click here for a little sneak peak. It is certainly first class and dam right ah-mazing! Photo diary to come soon!
How was everybody's weekend/long weekend? Get up to anything exciting?... It feels like it flew by so quick!
