I love all things handmade. I also adore quirky prints and mixing different textures together. I have a weakness for aztec/native influences and the pretty much, the combination of all of the above.

Just today I received a wonderful ( and belated) birthday present which I've had my eye on for a considerable amount of time. This "Double Braid String Maze Fabric Necklace" is by the brand Thief&Bandit. Having spent many hours browsing the webpages on Etsy, I stumbled upon this amazing collection of aztec inspired fabric-based accessories, ranging from plaited headbands to cuffs, statement necklaces and even cropped tops and scarfs.

I've been after a bright, colourful, out-of-the-ordinary necklace and I think I may just the 'right' one! I'm thinking of styling it with a sharp, well fitted black blazer and plain top or perhaps over a plain coloured knit with leggings.

Thief&Bandit is the work of Amie Cunningham, a woodcarver, designer, and artist by way of Canada and now living and working in Richmond, VA. All fabrics are handprinted and handmade with care in her Richmond studio. Each of her items are unique and of limited edition.

Here is a selection of my favourite pieces. I love the mix of suede and printed, eclectic fabrics!

You will ooo and ahhh over all the designs and want to know the best bit?... They are very affordable as well! Gotta love that! ;)
