I love shopping on Etsy and discovering new, one-of-kind pieces that you won't find in-store. One of my favourite things to shop for is jewellery and without a fail, there is an amazing range of independent designers offering refreshing designs over at Etsy.

For this special blog feature, I am very pleased to introduce to you a certain jewellery brand I have fallen head-over-heels for (thanks to a lovely recommendation by Brooke), which is Nutcase Fashion by Connie Lo. Nutcase Fashion is everything I love when it comes to statement accessories. Her range is quirky, fun and a stand-out from what you would see amongst general fashion retail. From necklaces to earrings, bracelets and rings, all Nutcase pieces allude the self-conceived theme of "Space Tribal", combining neon accents, raw cut gemstones, hardware rope, mixed chains, spikes and shiny crystals. With such an eclectic mix of materials, Connie is selective using textures and finishes to create unlikely combinations that work.

Here I am wearing one of Nutcase Fashion's bestsellers - Walukar Neon Tribal Necklace. When it comes to styling statement accessories, I like to give the opportunity for the piece to speak for itself and take centre stage. An all-black ensemble like this one will do just the trick! Black, wet-look Kit Skinnies by Bardot, staple black tee by Dotti and these sassy Eve stilettos by Rubi Shoes makes for an effortless chic, sexy look. I am a sucker for all-black -  I think it makes me feel somewhat mature and classy though rebellious at the same time, a kind of "I'm too cool for school" attitude.

Here is another Nutcase Fashion necklace I bought, the Dabbo Triangle Pendant Necklace. I have been wearing quite of a lot of gold lately, so the mix of retro resin, rose and gold chains is a nice compliment to other gold accessories without being too over the top. The hot pink and black triangles are the perfect amount of modern tribal/Atzec goodness.

Oh, and if you haven't noticed the dramatic change in hair styles - here's a recent photo of my new hair-do! :)

Nutcase Fashion's latest Summer/Spring 2012 collection just launched, bringing another round of  colour-popping, mix-material range of necklaces, earrings and wristwear. Here are just some of Connie's new designs - I am on the edge of getting myself another Nutcase Fashion piece, the only problem is I am having difficulty choosing my favourite! What is yours?....

So girls, what are you waiting for? Get your very own Nutcase Fashion piece today. They make as the perfect present or an instant update to your jewellery collection. Did I mention the very affordable prices, with most designs ranging from $20-$70 AUD. Too good! Nutcase Fashion believes style is not about the money you have, the brands you own.... It's about what you can create with what you have...
