I have been lured to a lot of shimmery pieces lately, as soon as I see a hint of glimmer, my inner-glam girl whispers 'Lauren, it sparkles.. it sparkles!' Having grown up with dancing and being on stage, I've been akin to anything sparkly since a young age. This Shimmer Wrap Skirt by Bardot is the ultimate, party number - bodycon in fit with flattering ruching to tuck it all in. Short in length, I always like to balance out minis by wearing something long-sleeved. This Mile Blazer by Wish teams up nicely with it's open drape collar and contrasting paneling on the sleeves and waist. It really is a chic, staple blazer and one that I look forward to wearing in the cooler months. Did I mention it also comes in olive and cream?! Normally I would of just stuck to one feature piece, but I think the subtle paneling and draping compliments the organic lines of the skirt perfectly.
To neutralise the combo, I have worn this latte coloured cross-over top by Sportsgirl. I like the mix of the casual fabric and angular cut, a great day-to-night piece not to mention a very versatile one too. In the first set of photos, I am in fact wearing the top back-to-front, below is a shot of how it was 'intended' to be worn. Which way do you like best? I really don't mind either, but to have the opportunity to wear a long chain necklace hanging at back, I would opt for the version below.
