IF I WAS A BOY.... ASOS AW12 MENSWEAR LOOKBOOK

I don't normally share lookbooks/editorials here on the blog, (I like pinning them instead!) but when I do, it's because they have either completely blown me away or made my jaw drop! This post, is a perfect example. Introducing ASOS Mens AW12 look book. Yep, not womenswear... MENS! I must admit, I am a big fan of mens clothing. You will hear me "oooooing" and "ahhhinngg" more times in the mens section than that of the ladies. The words "if only I was a guy" have become part of my usual vocabulary, that the idea of  tasteful, mens boat shoes or oxfords will get my heart beating faster than an image of Ryan Gosling. I simply adore mens clothing. I appreciate fine tailoring, tweed, elbow patches, suede panels, rolled up chinos, patterned button-ups, large collars, double-brested coats, quirky geometric prints and ethnic textures. The more dapper the better and the surprise of contrasting colour and texture is what I lust most! ASOS Mens AW12 look book embraces all of the above, and in fact features four of ASOS's in-house collections; StonemastersRelics, Northern Quarter and Indigo Khaki. Read up on Oyster's run-down here

I think part of the reason why I find menswear so appealing is the opportunity to be inventive and to take more risks. The ability to have a good eye for not only texture and shape whilst also maintaining the masculinity of each piece. And perhaps I secretly wish my "future love of my life" to dress this way too hehe. I know I may be wishful thinking, but a girl can only dream....

On a different note, I hope you're all having a pleasant start to the new week. My current Nutcase Fashion NEON MERMAID GIVEAWAY ends this Friday so be sure to get your entry in if you haven't as of yet.
