Mid last week I popped over to August Street HQ during my lunch break to check out their latest High Summer '12 Collection as well as two other brands growing in popularity; Pink Stitch and Fox and Clover. If you don't know by now, I am a BIG fan of August Street and was lucky to be involved in their past Spring collection earlier in the year. The label has grown incredibly, weakening fashionistas' knees since its come-back Winter collection featuring the beauty Rachel Rutt. This time round, we see the usual edgy, chic and quirky traits of AG, though turned up a notch with bold colour-blocking, gold sequin accents, bright abstract playful prints and lots of asymmetrical hemlines and one-of-kind tailored pieces. Amongst the clever paneling and sequined shorts, I opted for the punchy duo-tone Pip Top and mullet Jemma Skirt. Here I wanted to keep things simple and let the silhouette and block colours of the look do all the talking. Usually I would opt for a print but this rich grapefruit red works so well will the saturated flesh tone contrast. I can envisage the mullet skirt to get a lot of wear during the festive season and perhaps right through to the cooler months. Teamed up with a tshirt, Chucks and a blazer for a day/work look or a loose low arm singlet with lacy bralette underneath for a night out. You can really pull off a lot with this short/long hem piece.

Other bloggers joined the showing at AG where we were treated with these amazing cakepops, sweets and champagne. If you haven't had a cakepop, well hop to it! They are the perfect bite-size sweets.

How out of this world are these printed pieces!! The bralette and matching shorts are the perfect combo of sport luxe and print-on-print! The black and white elastic really tops it off!

The lovely Jess took us through the bright and colourful racks of Pink Stitch, sister brand of AG with a more feminine twist and Fox and Clover featuring this amazing tropical print (above!). Ahhh I want!!

An afternoon well spent amongst beautiful clothes, good company and delicious treats. Couldn't of asked for more really.... Oh, but a longer lunch break perhaps?!! ;)
