90s RADAR ALERT

Wearing: bomber jacket by Martine Rose for ASOS, asymmetrical fish tail skirt by Eighteen, River Island boots, Don't Ask Amanda lace bralette (worn underneath) via General Pants, Uberfine necklace, quartz necklace from eBay, aviator sunnies from Sportsgirl. Photography by Kassandra Hernandez, post-edit myself.

There comes a time when a piece of clothing has your name written all over it, and I'm not referring to your sporting gear from high school. As soon as my eyes set on this crazy, printed bomber jacket, I knew it wasn't worth passing up. This loud, colourful 90s inspired jacket is designed by Martine Rose, iconic British menswear designer who is popularly known for her adaptation of the MA-1 jacket. As part of her collab with ASOS, this time Rose designed an exclusive collection for women, featuring 90s prints, star-patterned crop tops and bike shorts. Crafted from silk, this bomber jacket is no doubt loud sporting large star icons and a massive radar icon on the back. Last week I wore the jacket for the first time to a couple of events and it received so many compliments! Definitely a head-turner! Light weight yet warm, this baby will be getting a work out when the cooler months arrive. Here I have worn it with an all-black ensemble, letting the jacket do all of the talking!

For those who are fans of female rapper Azealia Banks, catch her wearing this jacket and other Martine Rose pieces in her music video Atlantis! Oh and for all the Sydney fans out there, Azealia is doing a sideshow at the Enmore Theatre next month! Tickets go on sale today, 12noon so get onto it! It's an all ages show! Deets here.

I hope everyone had a great weekend! Things have been quite busy on my end with work (reason for the pause in posts) but I was able to let my hair down (a lot!) during my work summer boat party last Friday! I've always believed in the saying "work hard, play harder" and Friday proved just that as I came home with a few mysterious bruises. Who knows what happened on the boat, but there was a lot of dancing, cider-drinking and smiles all round! Oh and we even got to steer at one point! Haha!
