August Street, one of my favourite Aussie labels have launched their Spring 2013 collection titled "Decoding The Style" and boy it's a knock-out! Starring 'model of the moment' Valentina Ruby, the range deconstructs classic styles, inventing future silhouettes. Clean shapes are slashed with sheer panels and a bold, abstract navy print takes centre stage via full print garments or accented pieces. I was lucky to be part of the campaign, featured along side other bloggers in the Spring 2013 look book. Each of us were to style a look from the collection, that expressed our personality and our favourite trends for Spring. Here I wanted to include a sheer piece, as I personally love the sexy/innocent vibes sheer pieces evoke. This Josie Skirt hit the nail on the head with it's mini front split and 90s circa style. I couldn't help but to think of Cher from Clueless and her fluffy pen. To toughen the look I opted for the Stacey Jacket with it's statement abstract print.
On set, we watched Valentina Ruby strike a pose so effortlessly, styled with wet, sport luxe hair and bronze skin. Here are some behind-the-scenes photos from the shoot.
And the final campaign images! Love the printed two-piece ensemble and cute bralette!
