PEKING.

Wearing: Peking Duk T-shirt via Labelstate.com. skirt and boots by River Island, oriental bomber by Cotton On and necklace (old) by Lovisa. Photos by Kassandra Hernandez.

When someone asks me "what makes up your personal never-fail outfit?" - I can't help but to include a band or artist t-shirt in the mix. After collecting so many parody muscles-tops and band t-shirts, I was spoilt for choice when I was introduced to leading music merch company Label State. These guys are simply making it easier for bands/djs/artists to sell merchandise at no cost and with a loyalty paid for each t-shirt sold. Most importantly their designs are accessible to a global market. A win-win for both Label State and artist. With online merchandise stores posing as a great portal for discovering new music, labelstate.com offers great exposure for emerging artists as well as established acts with an international fan base. My pick from the lot is this slick Peking Duk tee. This Aussie duo have certainly earned a name for themselves in the electro, funk house genre and will be playing at BDO 2014. You must download their recent Triple J Mixup Exclusive, it will definitely get you in the mood to party. Here I have teamed up the tee with my current favourite wrap-style skirt and oriental bomber jacket. Gotta love the fat, white sans-serif type on the black. Monochrome all the way baby!

Hope you're all having a rad week so far. My track of the week is the uber-cool mix of Whitney Houston's It's Not Right by Kill Frenzy. Enjoy!

  1. Oooh love the print and cut of that skirt! Such a nice way to wear a band tee! I have so many, I really do need to wear them more often.
