Philippines Typhoon Haiyan Children’s Emergency Appeal

During my last trip back to The Philippines as an adult, I realised how fortunate I was to live in a first world country like Australia. Experiencing the divide between the rich and poor in a third world country was no doubt hard-hitting and I can confidently say we are VERY lucky to live the way we do. But most importantly that we have access to immediate government aid when disasters strike. So I've made a donation via UNICEF Australia to the victims of Category 5 Typhoon Haiyan (the most powerful typhoon in recorded history) You should definitely check out this photo of the typhoon from space to see the scale of it.

I urge you to do your bit (big or small) to assist the thousands of people left without food, clean water or permanent shelter. Whether it is passing on dining out, buying 'those' new shoes or even skipping a few morning coffees – every donation counts. Thank you and salamat po!
