I read somewhere, life is ten percent what happens to you and ninety percent how you respond to it. I immediately thought to myself- no shit?! In just over a week, I will be approaching my 26th birthday and yet again the moment when one has to reassess their life thus far. After much thinking and soul searching, even if it was a split second of realisation whilst walking down beautiful Gertrude Street in Fitzroy, Melbourne - I definitely want to stop sweating the small stuff. Don't get me wrong, I've come a long way for a girl who thinks way too much... But with the new year looming I'm feeling positive and looking forward to enjoying the simple things, while also tackling every situation head-on. Having faith in what you do and the decisions you make can be questionable at times, but from what I have learnt - go with you gut! If the end result is not what you expected, move on and learn from it. If the end result is everything you have hoped for, strive for more. Sometimes one has to remind themselves that life goes on and whatever moment you have - enjoy it in its entirety whatever the outcome.

I'm going to end my 'life rant' here - I have just over a week till I hit Melbourne again and it's full steam ahead! Catch me in between posts here @youronlyblackswan

For a mid week buzz - here's a track I've been loving lately. Wait for the bliss out at 1.22!

  1. Love that dress! It's so great with the boots :)
